Buy: Alcohol, Smokes and Petrol at Yanakie General Store, as it's not sold at Tidal River.
Coffee $5 - one size, with two shots. Fried food(salt and sauce located on counter for your convenience) & burgers, all made to order, salads - meditterranean (roasted pumpkin, potato, marinated capsicum & eggplant, olives & feta). Greek salad, Fruit salad. Salads also vary at times. A variety of sandwiches, falafel wraps (made daily), Fruit, cold drinks, souveniers, Maps, ice, gas swap. Coming from Perth I could never get anything this good. Fish is only $6.50 and calamari rings $1.50 each. Very worth it. Not too oily and the fish isn’t dry at all.
- Kati Keksi Added May 03, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Despite the mixed reviews my flat white was quite decent. Of course not expecting an artisanal cup of coffee but it was very well made and enjoyable to drink. Certainly a lot better than I was anticipating after reading reviews.
As you'd expect, not much going on in the cafe side for gluten free though I suspect the salads (when available) would be suitable.
On the store side I saw a few of the usual suspects, cheezels, curly wurly. The big surprise was the freezer where I spotted a gluten free sausage roll and a gluten free, dairy free pie. Quite impressive and reasonably priced at $7.50.
Given this, it may be that gluten free hot food is available upon request. - Kristy HW Added April 29, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ★Considering the volume of coffees this lovely crew make in a morning, they make a great latte. The general store has a few necessities that you may have forgotten when packing. And of course a good ice cream/icypole selection in the freezer.
